Online COVID vaccination event for BAME colleagues to share their experiences
NHS England and NHS Improvement and the Chief Nursing Officer’s BAME Strategic Advisory Group will be facilitating a series of online events for BAME staff in the region to share their lived experiences around the vaccination programme to date.
All health and care staff working in the Midlands region are welcome to attend the sessions. The events will take place on the following dates, with booking links available for each event set out below:
- Tuesday 23 February 2021, 5.30pm to 7pm

The events will also aim to provide a clearer understanding of vaccine uptake and potential hesitancies that are emerging among BAME colleagues and communities in the region, as well as helping to allay concerns by providing a safe space for staff to ask questions of experts from a diverse range of backgrounds.
The sessions are open to all health and social care colleagues working in the Midlands region, as well as BAME Workforce Allies, Chaplains, BAME Staff Networks, EDI Leads, Freedom to speak up guardians (FTSU), Staff Sides representatives and health and wellbeing champions
Communications colleagues are asked to support the event by sharing the above dates and booking links via their own internal communications channels, as well as their local COVID vaccine teams, EDI leads and through their local BAME staff networks.
