Positive Behaviour Support – In House Lead

Learning Outcomes:- By the end of this course delegates will:
- Will know what is meant by the term "Positive Behaviour Support" and how to adopt human right based approaches
- Be able to develop good quality Positive Behaviour Support plans for individuals in their work place, that takes into account the principles of person centred approaches.
- Know what is meant by the term "Applied Behaviour Analysis" and use data to guide support plans.
- Have an understanding of various restrictive practices, appropriateness of their use and the law.
- Identify proactive methods of support to reduce the need for restrictive interventions.
- know what is meant by positional asphyxia and the signs and symptoms of the condition
- Be confident in a range of disengagement and non-restrictive physical intervention skills
