Safeguarding Adults Referrers

If you are based in the City (Leicester) then you will need to contact the City Council Contact for you to attend a Safeguarding Adults Referrers Course. Contact Leicester City Council, Corporate Workforce Development Team : 0116 454 2750 or email:  corporateworkforcedevelopment@leicester.gov.uk Aims and Objectives: Following attending the course, participants should be able to:

• Identify what action to take when an allegation of abuse is reported
• Identify and minimise risks when an allegation of abuse is reported
• Identify the importance of recording and documenting in relation to safeguarding adults
• Provide support for staff and people who use services who report concerns of abuse, or are alleged to have committed abuse
• Be clear about what happens following a safeguarding adults referral
• Have knowledge of related legislation
• Work within the principles of information sharing in accordance with the local policy and procedure, relevant legislation and relevant internal guidance

Target Group:  Managers, supervisors or senior staff in registered and non-registered settings with a responsibility for making Safeguarding Adults Referrals Refreshments will be provided. Lunch will NOT be provided For this course care providers will be invoiced at a flat rate of £30 per delegate, after the attendance. If delegates fail to attend, the establishment will be invoiced for the non-attendance rate of £100 per delegate. Local Authority staff will be required to enter a COST CODE on the booking form, in the event of non-attendance your Department will be invoiced, therefore authorisation from your manager is required for you to attend this training.
