 Aim: Learners will be able to:

• Understand the origins and purpose of the Care Certificate
• Use the Skills for Care materials to support staff through the completion of the Care Certificate
• Record assessments and progress effectively using the materials provided
• Use the Care Certificate as part of the ongoing CPD process for staff
• Identify occupationally competent staff to assist with assessments

  Target Group: Proprietors, Managers and staff who will assess and support employees with completion of the Care Certificate 

DATES	VENUES
19th May 2017	NSPCC, Beaumont Leys, Leicester

Times: 9:30am start and finish 12.00 noon Refreshments will be provided.   Lunch will NOT be provided  For this course care providers will be invoiced at a flat rate of £50 per delegate. Delegates will be presented with a folder and CD.                                                          If delegates fail to attend, the establishment will be invoiced for the non-attendance rate of £100 per person.   Local Authority staff can book yourself on the course through the Hub, with your user account and password https://leicestershiretotara.learningpool.com/login/index.php If you do not have an account please email nominations@leics.gov.uk Wider Sector book yourself on the course through the Hub, with your user account and password https://leicestershiretotara.learningpool.com/login/index.php If you do not have an account, this will need to be created for you.  Please fill in this spreadsheet Copy of CSV template LSCDG v6.xlsx   following the example on the spreadsheet and email it back to LSCDG@leics.gov.uk. Once the account has been created, you will be notified, and you will then be able to log into the Hub and book yourself on this course. We advise you to send information for all your staff as this will be cost effective, when setting up accounts. It is also far quicker to create accounts for a whole organisation than creating individual accounts for each member of staff every time they want to attend a course. The benefits of this is that all staff will be able to access the Hub, view courses and e-learning modules, access resources to courses, book on courses. The manager will have access to team reports, view courses completed by staff, and book staff on courses.
