Recording in Care (for Managers)

(1 day course -£30 per delegate)

Please see flyer for further information - Recording in Care for Managers

AIMS and OBJECTIVES:
  • To have a greater understanding of why and what we record. To practise record-keeping and scrutiny/evaluation of these records through in-session observations.
  • To become more familiar with historical and current drivers around record-keeping (legislation, national and local policy and guidance, inspection standards, serious case inquiries)
  • To review what makes a good record – what are the standards involved in recording well.
  • To critically review some real care records and discuss how they could be improved.
To explore how we can use our records to form and evidence our ‘defensible decisions’.   TARGET GROUP: Managers or Senior Staff who will be completing written records and care plans and who are also responsible for quality monitoring the record-keeping of other staff members.
